Knitstant Gratification

I was listening to one of my favourite podcasts (Christian O'Connell's Daily Choice Cuts) and they were talking about personal bests. One guy ate an entire powdered jelly doughnut in 20 seconds flat including chewing and swallowing. (WHAT?!) Well I got thinking about my personal knitting bests. I knit four Fylleryd shawls in two months. That breaks down to roughly two weeks per shawl. Considering there are several thousand stitches to each shawl, that's pretty stinkin' good! But the best is that out of the seven I have now made, two of them took one week to complete. THAT is a best. Now some people may think... ONE WEEK? That's a personal best? Yes. That is a best. The thing I was thinking about is this: for a knitter, completing a big project in one week is instant gratification. This is a strange concept for some people, but I know there knitters out there who are just nodding their heads right now. And THAT, people is all I have to say. About that.
Be safe and knit on rockers!
